







Supraja is a Senior Research Associate at DS. Her key duties involve leading research and consultancy assignments to manage or evaluate programs involving implementation of data collection, monitoring and evaluation, analysis of data collected as well as coordination with various internal and external stakeholders when required. Apart from the above, her duties also include providing support to activities associated with the business development of DS.
She comes with a background in the field of quantitative development research as well as Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). Prior to joining DS, she worked as a Young Evaluator under a 6-month M&E program for Young and Emerging Evaluators launched by the Global Evaluation Initiative (GEI) supported by the Independent Evaluation Group, World Bank. In addition to the above, she has also worked at IFMR LEAD @ KREA University and J-PAL South Asia for almost 3 years in research implementation with a focus on Randomised Controlled Trials (RCTs).
She holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. Her areas of interest include labor and gender.
Supraja enjoys watching Indian movies and sincerely believes that her backup career would revolve around movie analysis. She enjoys dancing and is also a trained classical dancer having performed in multiple stages. She makes use of her spare time to explore historical sites in and around the area she lives, unless the temperature asks her to choose only air-conditioned locations.
