Background Context: Microsoft CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) has been involved in a range of development initiatives as a part of its CSR investment, since the year 2014. They sought to develop a Monitoring and Evaluation Framework (M&E), to assess the impact of their investments.
Objectives
Development Solutions worked with Microsoft CSR to provide technical support for developing an M&E framework, using a Theory of Change approach and assess the impact of Microsoft’s investments in CSR activities.
Approach and Methodology
Impact
The workshopping of the ‘Theory of Change’ created by DS led to the defining of goals for Microsoft CSR. The existing programs supported by the Microsoft CSR, were retrospectively fit into the theory of change, to finalize the outcomes, outputs and indicators.
