Location: Uttar Pradesh and Telangana
Background Context: Launch Girls, not-for-profit organization provides experiential entrepreneurship programming for adolescent girls around the world. Launch Girls partners with local and national girl-serving organizations that work closely with adolescent girls ages 12-24 and provide partners with comprehensive tools, including curriculum, training, technology, and facilitator’s guides to successfully deliver programming and maximize impact.
Objectives
Development Solutions was commissioned to develop a monitoring and evaluation(M&E) strategy for Launch Girls. It is supporting Launch Girls with the following objectives:
- To build and update their monitoring and evaluation systems, tools, and processes to enable assessment of the programmatic and organizational impact.
- To collect, analyze, and synthesize data from programs to understand impact and effectively communicate impact to different stakeholder groups.
Approach and Methodology
- Method/ Design: The development of M&E strategy will use the following approach:
- Initial Scoping: Desk review of program documents, existing Theory of Change(TOC) and M&E systems. and mapping of stakeholders.
- Development of M&E, ToC/ Strategy: Development of an initial draft of the M&E and ToC, mapping of key stakeholders/ respondent groups and defining the outcome and output indicators and interlinkages.
- Development of Evaluation Design: Development of tools for data/ evidence gathering (quantitative and/or qualitative) for existing programs.
- Implementation/ Analysis Support: Development of manual for system implementation, initial training/ capacity building of Launch Girls and partner organization teams and analysis of information on a quarterly basis and sharing of insights.
Impact
The monitoring framework created for the interventions carried out by Launch Girls will allow tracking of progress across various geographic locations and will facilitate necessary programmatic adjustments. The evaluation framework will aim to aid in the assessment of the impact generated by Launch Girls. Collectively, these frameworks will provide guidance for future direction and assist in the expansion of Launch Girls' interventions.
